◆Japanese Culture Class

When I talk with people who work internationally, they often tell me something like this, "What you want to say is more important than the skills you want to talk about. The most important thing is that you should understand your own culture." At our school, we have classes for Japanese manners, tea ceremony, flower arrangement, and kimono dressing. In addition to that, our students learn martial arts "Karate" in the P.E. classes. Even though we cannot give the students a lot of time to experience these cultural aspects, it is better than never experiencing any of these at all. We think that planting these seeds of interest at a young age will encourage the students to become more interested in Japanese culture, and it will help them to actually learn about their own culture.
